Unit Lost (possibly)

I no longer have access to my old Command and Conquer site so it's days are probably numbered. I will see about posting everything here although I am not sure how the graphics will work.

I will test C&C (Tiberian dawn) on my PPC G4 imac under Classic and OS X 10.4 at some point to see if it still works. Updates will follow.

Stealth tank

I didn't notice until today that spymac.com has added an ad banner to their freely hosted sites where my old C&C site is now housed. That's fair enough but the background of the banner frame doesn't go well with my site. I will see what I can do.

Unit Lost

After sone time there is still no way to log-on or sign up for a login to WCHAT at the EA web site. As Command and Conquer: Tiberium Dawn is pretty old I don't think we can count on EA spending any resources on WCHAT in the future.

Perhaps the folks at FreeCNC will attempt a multi-player server but as their progress on the game(s) itself seems pretty slow that may be an unwarranted hope.

Updates and Westwood Online still available

Updates for Macintosh Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn are still available from the Westwood site although there are currently no direct links from the EA web site.

You can find them at the Westwood FTP site here:

ftp://ftp.westwood.com

Here are direct links for

Reinforcements have arrived

I have linked to my old C&C for Mac site there are a lot of broken links and much of it is out-of-date information. However the FAQs are all there for your viewing and most of what is in them still applies ten years later. I will keep the old-fashioned frames for now as they seem to be the best way to present the very longs pages that make up the FAQs.

Eventually I will update with more recent info about Free CnC and how to run C&C:Tiberium dawn under Classic in OS X.

Unit ready.

This will be very low-traffic blog to update my old Macintosh Command and Conquer site. I have a bit of updating and e-mail address disguising to do before I can turn it live again now that I have found a new home for it on spymac.com.

Something will be happening in the next few months here, but no promises.
